The firm is pleased to announce the promotion of Scott J. Collins to partner.
Scott joined the firm in 2018 as a law clerk before advancing to the position of Associate in October 2019. Prior to his arrival at Woodard, Scott gained significant experience at a startup software company, where he conducted corporate and intellectual property legal research to enhance the protection of the company’s IP assets. In addition, he worked for a prominent pharmaceutical company, performing patent landscaping research and collaborating with scientists to assess the patentability of their innovations.
Scott holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Biology. During his academic tenure, he served as a biology lab instructor and led projects in an ecology and evolution lab, where he provided guidance to students. While at McKinney, Scott was actively involved in Moot Court and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Wilkie Inn legal honor society.
We congratulate Scott on this significant achievement and look forward to his continued contributions as we build on Woodard Emhardt’s legacy of over 145 years in protecting and defending our clients’ creative and intellectual assets.
