James R. Blaufuss

Partner

Jim advises clients on domestic and international patents and trademarks prosecution. His practice encompasses all areas of intellectual property protection including patent searching, patentability, invalidity, infringement/non-infringement, freedom-to-operate and state-of-the-art matters.

His technical experience comprises a wide range of industries including mechanical fasteners, mechanical locks, firearms, dental x-ray apparatus, medical catheters, medical devises, high-speed cutting, electrical discharge systems, chemical cross-linking, plastic extrusion, and material handling systems.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Jim was a Process Engineer at several companies across the U.S. This work experience influences Jim’s approach to his practice and provides him with an insider’s perspective and understanding of his client’s goals, issues and questions.
